Emmy Award-winning actress Ayo Edebiri and All of Us Strangers star Paul Mescal have sparked dating rumors online after Edebiri shared a cute photo of themselves on her Instagram story. To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, she posted the click and wrote “Happy St. Paddy’s” over it.
The shot showed the duo sitting on a staircase together, where the actress smiles widely and closes her eyes. Meanwhile, Paul stares directly at the camera with one of his hands on Edebiri’s lap.
This has made fans wonder if the couple is dating. Nonetheless, some of the fans also believe that the stars are working together on some projects. Notably, Paul Mescal belongs to Irish heritage. At the same time, Edebiri went viral online for saying that she stayed in Ireland in order to prepare for her role in “The Banshees of Inisherin” as the stubborn donkey. Along with the joke, she also spoke in a weird Irish accent. However, it created a stir as the Irish fans claimed she was their own princess.
In November 2023, Paul Mescal spoke about his desire to do a movie with Ayo Edebiri in an interview with Awards Watch. He said,
I think in the next five years I’m going to set myself a challenge to do maybe like a rom-com with Ayo (Edebiri) or something like that would be cool.
In response to that, in an interview with Awards Watch, Edebiri said,
So, is someone writing a script for us now, or what?” So that’s my answer, if somebody writes us a good script.
The Bear star added,
I think he’s so brilliant, and I honestly would also really enjoy seeing him try his hand at comedy. It has to be in an About Time vibe. Something that’s got, like, a heart, so he can still flex his drama muscles where it’s like, the covert rom-com. Like, still a rom-com, but we got to get something inventive,
