Black Summer Season 3: Is Netflix Going to Renew the Series?

Created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams Black Summer is an American streaming TV series. The series is more of a spin-off of Z Nation. The first season dropped off on Netflix on April 11, 2019, with a total of 10 episodes. The Asylum served as the producer for Black Summer, just as they did for Z Nation. Black Summer was originally written and directed by Hyams. The storyline of Black Summer follows a mother named Rose who got separated from her daughter at the dawn of a deadly zombie apocalypse. Black Summer received average approval from critics.

In November 2019, Netflix renewed the show for a second season with a total of eight episodes. It released officially on Netflix on the 17th of June in 2021. Fans are very excited and cannot wait for another season of this great show. If you love watching the hit zombie series Black Summer, you are in the right place.

Black Summer Season 3 Release Date

We don’t know when the show will come out until we hear something official from the makers. Any guesses about when it will be released are based on the speculations of fans.

Renewal Status of Black Summer, Season 3

The official status of renewal is pending

It has been a very long eighteen months since the second season of Black Summer aired. We have not heard any news about a third season yet. Season 2 did not have many viewers when it first aired, but it grew a lot by the end. This could be what drives more attention toward it. Despite only garnering recognition from countries such as America and Britain, where English is spoken primarily, Season 2 had amazing zombie encounters that were both eerie and thrilling, making for a captivating watch indeed.

What would be the plot of Black Summer Season 3?

We don’t know yet if there will be a Season 3, but if there is, we think it might answer some questions from Season 2. In Season 2, viewers watched as survivors tried to reach an airstrip so they could get on a plane that was dropping supplies around the area. Only Sun was able to get on the plane. If there is a Season 3, we think fans might find out where the plane was going or if Sun was able to escape the infection.
