Call the Midwife Season 12 Arriving on Netflix US: A Date to Mark for Fans

The twelfth season of Call the Midwife has wrapped up its run on the BBC and PBS. Fans in the United States can rejoice because the new batch of episodes have got the green signal for a Netflix release.

Currently Netflix in the USA has 1-11 seasons of the show and the UK has 1-10 seasons. Interestingly, the UK was about to lose the show, but that pitfall has been averted.

The news brings much excitement for the US fans. But there’s more reasons to be happy if you are really into this drama. BBC had officially announced two seasons back in 2021. That means season 13 will soon be on the cards. Heidi Thomas, Creator, Writer, and Executive Producer, said, “It’s an incredible privilege to be able to look back on a decade of Call The Midwife, and yet know that our journey is still very far from over. We are thrilled to be going on for a few more years! Like Nonnatus House itself, we have a proud past but an even more exciting future – full of old favourites, fresh faces, higher hemlines, new ideas. The stories we tell are like babies – they never stop coming, we love them all, and we vow to do our best by every single one.”

The 12th season of the show is set to arrive on Netflix in the USA on September 4, 2023, confirming old patterns and earlier projections. Things are a bit different for the UK. If earlier patterns are followed, the UK will not get the 12th season before 2025. In fact, it hasn’t received the 11th season yet. If you are in the UK, you can access Call the Midwife on the BBC iPlayer using your TV license.
