Studio Trigger, the studio behind Cyberpunk Edgerunners is adapting the manga called Delicious in Dungeon by Ryōko Kui into a Netflix Original Anime Series with the same title. The anime series is set to make its debut on Netflix in January 2024 according to the official teaser trailer. The preliminary release date is January 3rd, 2024 which is subject to change. “Delicious in Dungeon” is being directed by Yoshihiro Miyajima and the screenplay is written by Kimiko Ueno.
This highly anticipated series is set in Golden Kingdom, a land which is sunk underground by a deranged magician. The king of the land offers a grand reward to anyone who defeats the magician. Following this, numerous guilds embark on a perilous journey through a labyrinthine dungeon. Each of them trying to vanquish the magician.
Laios is the leader of one such guild. He is faced by a dragon that devastates his party and takes away his sister, Falin. Withstanding the tragedy, Laios ventures back into the dungeon accompanied by Marcille, an elven healer, and Chilchuck, a halfling thief, with the goal of rescuing Falin. In order to survive, Laios decides to eat monsters that they face on their journey. Their first monster-meal catches the attention of Senshi, a dwarf with a knack for monster cooking. He expresses his desire to cook a dragon, and joins their party. Thus begins their food-filled expedition.

We don’t know how many episodes the series will have but we are sure each of them will be filled with exciting action, unexpected twists, and an unusual exhibition of culinary creativity.
Sayaka Senbongi is playing Marcille Donato. She’s known for her work in anime such as “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” and “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.” Kentaro Kumagai will voice the character of Laios Thorden. You may know him for his roles in “The God of High School” and “Record of Grancrest War.” Hiroshi Naka will be heard as Senshi. One Piece fans will recognize the voice as the voice of Monkey D. Garp. He’s also worked in “Naruto” and “Naruto Shippuden.” Asuna Tomari will voice the character of Chilchuck Tims. Tomari is known for her performances as Kyou Souma in “Fruits Basket” and Gobta in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.”
