As part of her captivating performance at the Bakkt Theater, Planet Hollywood, Kelly Clarkson delivered a scathing cover of Gayle’s hit song “abcdefu.” Clarkson cleverly modified the words to show her feelings about her divorce with ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
In the video that went viral on TikTok, Kelly was heard altering the lyrics to unleash her sentiments about her past relationship. The modified chorus struck a chord with fans as Kelly sang, “F–k you, and your dad, and the fact that you got half/ and my broken heart, turn that s–t into art/ F–k you, and your view from the valley I bought too/ Everybody but your dogs, you can all f–k off,” she didn’t forget to throw a middle finger in the air as she hit the chorus.
Her performance, which contained obscene language and gestures, instantly became a symbol of power and freedom. A fan commented, “It must be so therapeutic to sing this,” while another one commented, “Way to regain your power Queen Kelly.”
