Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes have filed for divorce after just thirteen months of marriage and a whooping one wedding anniversary.
The One Tree actress made the filing to end the marriage with the 43-year-old real estate investor according to documents obtained by People.
Perhaps the most interesting fact about the split couple is that they celebrated their anniversary together 7 days before they filed the divorce papers.
“Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service. They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.” an aide close to the couple mentioned while talking to People.

Meanwhile, Sophia took to Instagram to wish the first anniversary to her husband. She posted a photo along with the caption, “Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband, Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favourite. Happy Anniversary 🤍.”
Meanwhile, in 2022, Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes entered into a marriage. Besides, the wedding took place at the City County’s Clerk Office, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“She is my forever Favourite. This is my favourite. And our life is what we’re building because she said ‘Yes’ is already my favourite. I am SO EXCITED to do life with you, my love,” Hughes captioned the duo’s engagement photo on Instagram.
Soon after Hughes’s announcement, Sophia took the news to Instagram to acknowledge her fans and how lucky she feels after she engages with Grant Hughes.
Meanwhile, Sophia was formerly married to her One Tree Co-star Chad Michael Murray. The former couple entered into a marriage in 2005 and got divorced in 2016.
