Everything We Know About Netflix’s K-Drama Hellbound Season 2

Yes, it’s happening! Netflix has renewed the highly anticipated series Hellbound for season 2. Meanwhile, with a binge-worth season, Hellbound will showcase some major changes in season 2. As the lead actor Yoo Ah-In will be replacing the role of Jung Jingsu with Kim-Sang Cheol. Here’s everything you should know about Hellbound Season 2.

The South Korean series Hellbound garnered popularity due to its ultra-level horror content. Besides, the series is written and directed by famous Korean personality Yeon Sang-ho. Additionally, the series is the adaptation of the famous South Korean webtoon Hell.

The Korean series’ ultra-level plot and visuals assisted it to become the second-biggest Korean series in 2021. Meanwhile, the prominent Squid Games tops the list. With receiving critical acclamation, the series has secured 97 percent by the popular Rotten Tomatoes.

Hellbound Season 2: Status-Renewed

Now Netflix has officially renewed the much-awaited Season 2 of Hellbound. 

Because “Hellbound” is based on the original webtoons, my partner Choi Kyu-Seok and I have decided that the story afterwards will be told first through the webtoon and, as for whether we would want to turn that into another live-action series, that’s something that we will need further discussion on. As you know, we have only just released “Hellbound” Season 1 and so we didn’t have any time to discuss that issue with Netflix. So I would say this is something we need further discussion on.

Said the creator of the show while announcing the renewal on Tudum, the Netflix giant event.

When Will Hellbound Season 2 Release on Netflix?

Recalling the previous season, Hellbound Season One was filmed from August 2020 to January 2021. Later, it was released in November 2021. Depending on that, Hellbound Season 2 is likely to be released in 2024.

What Do We Know About The Plot of Season Two Hellbound?

Although there’s no official synopsis for season 2, the season one ending explains the plot of season 2. In the last episode of Hellbound, we witnessed Yoo-Ji being arrested on thrassing a naysayer.

Meanwhile, lead members Bae and Song So-Hyun sacrificed their lives for their child’s well being.

With these leads, we can expect Season 2 to be likely carrying these threads. Besides, a synopsis of the series is highly awaited by Hellbound fans.
