Nintendo has unveiled a gripping new trailer for the new season of Splatoon 3 that teases the fans with a range of additions – new weapons, fresh maps, a major Splatfest event, and whatnot.
With the current season of Splatoon 3 coming to a close, excitement and anticipation have reached a fever pitch among fans. It’s time to dive into the trailer and figure out what the new season may entail.
The Drizzle Season update for Splatoon 3 is slated for a September 1st release. It promises a three-month journey of exciting ink-splattering up till November 30, 2023.
Drizzle Season is going to be the game’s first repeat season since its launch on September 9, 2022. This is the fifth season overall. New weapons and maps aside, the season will feature a brand-new Splatfest in honor of the game’s one-year anniversary.
The Drizzle Season will see two new stages – Crableg Capital, and Shipshape Cargo Co. The first one is a high-rise construction site with a network of elevated walkways, challenging players to perform strategic maneuvers. The second stage is basically a frigid cargo ship. It’s a constraining environment with mammoth shipping crates. The map has raised sections, ramps, platforms, and grate ledges.
Both the stages will have opportunities as well as challenges for the players. They will have to make the most of the environments to spread their inky dominance.
The map called Salmonid Smokeyard from Splatoon 2 is making a return in the Drizzle Season. This will surely excite players who are familiar with the map. They’ll be able to play on a familiar field with Splatoon 3’s gameplay mechanics.
Players will also have brand-new Work Suits. You’ll have an array of stylish camo styles and a funky polka-dot to choose from.
Overall, The Drizzle Season update is coming with a dynamic blend of maps, weapons, and engaging content designed to engage newcomers and excite seasoned players.
