Netflix is about to unleash a new female-led thriller series titled “Who Is Erin Carter?”. The Left Bank Pictures production is generating a lot of excitement among thriller fans. Left Bank Pictures is the production house behind “The Crown”. You can check out the trailer here.
The series, set to premier on August 24, 2023 will have eight episodes in its first season. Set in Spain, the story revolves around Erin Collantes. She is a seemingly ordinary woman living an expat dream with her family. Erin is a mother, wife, and a substitute teacher by profession. Her life is quiet and uneventful. However, everything changes when she gets caught in a supermarket robbery that reveals her as a fearless fighter.
Erin’s desperate attempts to conceal her past and protect her family drives the show. She embarks on an unexpected journey with her secrets weighing heavy on her actions.
Jack Lothian known for Doc Martin, and Strike Back, is the showrunner for “Who Is Erin Carter?”. The team of executive producers includes Andy Harries, Naula O’Leary, Rob Bullock, Jack Lothian, and Sharon Hughff. The show will be directed by Bill Eagles and Ashley Way.
Evin Ahmad, known for her work in “Beyond Dreams,” will play the lead role of Erin Collantes. Sean Teale will play her husband. They will be joined by Douglas Henshall as Daniel Long and Susanna Fielding as Olivia.
“Who is Erin Carter?” is coming out on August 24, 23 after spending almost a year in production. The trailer looks quite exhilarating and promises to bring a fresh story with a slightly different perspective on a potential spy thriller (we don’t know if Erin is a spy, not yet). Netflix has done a good job at keeping the trailer entertaining yet secretive.
