Will There Be an XCOM 3?

As of July 2024, there is no official confirmation about XCOM 3. However, there are several instances where the third part of XCOM has been hinted at. 

  • During the Summer Games Fest in 2022, the Firaxis Project Leader, Garth DeAngelis, mentioned that there is “absolutely” a future for XCOM 3.
  • Additionally, in an interview with Marvel Midnight Sons Development, DeAngelis said, “We are enormous fans of XCOM. We love it. There’s absolutely a future for it. But this was just an opportunity that’s too good to pass up.”
  • In September 2021, the American Multinational Corporation, NVIDIA GeForce Now Data leaked a bunch of unannounced titles.
  • Among the unannounced titles was XCOM 3. A publication, WCCFTech, reached out to NVIDIA officials and received the comment, “NVIDIA is aware of an unauthorised published game list, with both released and/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing. Inclusion on the list is neither a confirmation nor an announcement of any game. NVIDIA took immediate action to remove access to the list. No confidential game builds or personal information was exposed.”
