American singer and actress Rozonda Thomas, better known by her stage name Chilli and Usher Raymond, were together between 2001-2004. The duo met in 1991 when they signed the same label; however, they started dating in 2001 and in 2014, they decided to quit their relationship due to their hectic schedule. In an interview, Chilli revealed that they were in contact for fifteen years even after her breakup with Usher. In an interview with People Magazine, Chilli revealed details of how complicated her relationship was with Usher. She quoted,

During that period, Usher got married twice: first to Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009 and later to Grace Harry from 2015 to 2018. Despite getting married twice, Usher’s ex Chilli claimed in the interview that he was not able to move on from her. According to Chilli, she ended the on-and-off relationship in 2019 to focus on herself. She also added that she stopped dating. While talking about the same, she quoted,

According to a media house, Chilli initially dated TLC producer Dallas Austin in the 1990s. During an episode of her reality series, Chilli admitted that she had an abortion while with Dallas and she also regretted having a baby during her early career; they have a son named Tron Austin. During the show, she talked about the same and explained,
I was 20 and my career hadn’t started, [and I got pregnant],” How do I do all that? How do I be a mommy? [The abortion] messed me up — it broke my spirit. I felt like I became not my strong self anymore. I felt like I gave in and broke [down] to what someone else wanted. I cried almost every day for nine years. And then I was caught up — I had to have a baby. I had to fix it, and the only way I could fix it was with him [Dallas]. I could only have this baby with him because the baby I didn’t have was with him. As time went on, I was able to break away from the relationship because I knew that he was always being true to himself — I was not. After the couple welcomed their son in 1997, they decided to part ways. Subsequently, in 2001, she came into a relationship with Usher; three years later, in 2003, the couple parted ways owing to their busy lives. Later, in July 2016, rumours of Chilli dating actor Nick Cannon came into the news; however, neither Chilli confirmed the rumour nor Nick. Next, in 2022, Chilli started dating Matthew Lawrence and by January 2023, she confirmed to TMZ that the couple are in an “exclusive relationship.” In May 2023, Rozonda while talking about her relationship shared how solicitous is her relationship with Matthew and even enthused that they never fought after coming into the relationship. Chilli quoted,
I never thought the name ‘Matthew’ would make me blush so much. I always thought he was cute.” She then added, “To this day we have not had one argument. I’m like ‘Matthew, it’s gonna happen one day, ’cause we’re going to be together forever.
